Puji dan syukur kita panjatkan kehadirat tuhan yang maha esa, atas segala perlindungan yang diberikan kepada kita semua, terlebih pada penulis, sehingga penyusunan laporan praktek kerja industri (prakerin) di ..................................................., dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Prakerin dilakukan mulai pada tanggal 13 januari 2009 s/d 3 juni 2009 yang hasilnya tertuang pada laporan ini.
Penyusunan laporan prakerin ini merupakan salah satu syarat untuk memenuhi ujian akhir nasional pada tahun 2009/2010 di SMK Negeri 1 Sidikalang. Penulis menyadari bahwa laporan ini masih jauh dari kesempurnaan, baik dari segi penyajian bahasa maupun kualitas isinya. Untuk itu penulis mengharapkan saran yang membangun dari berbagai pihak guna memperbaiki dan menambah pengetahuan dalam menyelesaikan laporan ini.

PENDAHULUAN
v A. LATAR BELAKANG
Praktek Kerja Industri merupakan salah satu bentuk penyelenggaraan pendidikan dan pelatihan bagi para siswa, yang memadukan antara pendidikan di Sekolah dengan pendidikan di Dunia Industri yang diperoleh dengan melakukan praktek kerja secara langsung dan terarah untuk menambah keahlian tertentu. Tujuan utama pendidikan kejuruan adalah mempersiapkan lulusan untuk dapat bekerja secara mandiri.
v B. TUJUANB.1. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan Prakerin :
1. Menghasilkan tenaga kerja yang memiliki keahlian profesional yaitu tenaga kerja yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan, ketrampilan dan etos kerja yang sesuai dengan tuntutan lapangan keja.
2. Memperkokoh kerjasama antara sekolah dengan dunia kerja.
3. Meningkatkan efisiensi proses pendidikan dan pelatihan tenaga kerja yang berkualitas profesional.
4. Memberi pengakuan dan peghargaan terhadap pengalaman kerja sebagai bagian dari proses pendidikan.
5. Siswa mampu memahami, memantapkan dan mengembangkan pelajaran yang didapatkan di Sekolah dan diterapkan pada Dunia Usaha.
6. Menambah pengalaman dan pengetahuan siswa dalam melaksanakan PRAKTEK KERJA INDUSTRI.

v B.2. Tujuan Penyusunan Laporan Setelah melaksanakan Praktek Kerja Industri (PRAKERIN), para siswa diwajibkan menyusun laporan. Adapun isi laporan yang harus disusun para siswa adalah hasil kegiatan selama PRAKERIN.
Tujuan dari pembuatan laporan tersebut antara lain adalah :
1. Untuk mengetahui perkebangan siswa selama mengikuti Praktek Kerja Industri.
2. Sebagai pertanggung jawaban atas tugas yang diberikan Sekolah kepada para siswa sehubungan dengan pelaksanaan PRAKERIN.
3. Menambah perbendaharaan perpustakaan Sekolah dan sebagai pengetahuan bagi siswa angkatan selanjutnya.
4. Sebagai latihan bagi siswa dalam membuat sebuah laporan kegiatan.
5. Sebagai bukti bahwa siswa telah melakukan praktek yang di lakukan di DUDI (Dunia Industri).
6. Sebagai syarat mengikuti Ujian Nasional. Untuk mengetahui perkembangan siswa selama mengikuti praktek di dunia usaha/industri.

HASIL PELAKSANAAN PRAKERIN
A. PEMASANGAN CPU
1. Melakukan pemeriksaan pada CPU apakah masih dapat di pakai atau tidak lagi
2. Meletakkan cpu pada meja dan memasang monitornya
3. Melakukan pemasangan perangkat perangkat pc seperti mouse,keyboard. dll
4. Menghidupkan computer apakah sudah dapat di pakai dengan baik
5. Memperhatikan apakah seluruh perangkat computer dapat digunakan dengan baik dan layak pakai
6. Mengganti apabila ada perangkat yang rusak
7. Melakukan restart ulang computer setelah mengganti perangkat yang rusak, setelah restart mencoba kembali apakah computer sudah dapat digunakan

B. MEMPERBAIKI CPU
1. Membuka baut CPU yang rusak
2. Memperhatikan seluruh perangkat perangkat cpu
3. Membersihkan bagian bagian mother board yang kotor
4. Memasang perangkat perangkat yang lepas
5. Memperbaiki perangkat yang rusak
6. Mengganti perangkat perangkat pc yang tak layak pakai lagi
7. Memasang perangkat yang baru
8. Setelah selesai tutup ulang cpu
9. Menghidupkan computer apakah computer tersebut sudah dapat dilaksanakan
10. Melakukan pemeriksaan ulang apabila ada masalah yang timbul kembali

C. MELAKUKAN INSTALASI WINDOWS XP
Memasukkan cd installer windows xp service pack II kedalam cd room
Masuk ke bios untuk melakukan pengaturan booting
Booting pertama adalah dari cdroom,hardisk, floppy
Setelah itu lakukan proses booting dari cd room
Tunggu sampai proses instalasi berjalan
Setelah itu lakukan proses partisi untuk menentukan jumlah partisi pada harddisk
Setelah itu lakukan prose format hardisk yang di ikuti proses copy file
Setelah copy file selesai maka computer akan restart
Setelah itu computer akan melakukan booting dari harddisk, pada umumnya booting ini akan berjalan pada waktu normal sekitar 39 menit pada tahap ini windows akan meminta anda mengikuti beberapa ketentuan ketentuan
Setelah proses booting dari harddisk selesai maka computer akan restart untuk yang kedua kalinya
Setelah restart computer telah siap untuk digunakan.

F. MELAKUKAN PERAWATAN JARINGAN
Melakukan pemeriksaan pada kabel jaringan setiap hari apakah adayang terputus
Membersihkan lan card pada pc yang kotor
Melakukan setting ip address yang salah
G. MELAKUKAN SHARING DATA DAN PRINTER
Menginstalasi sebuah printer pada server
Menjalankan program sharing pada printer yang ada pada komputer server
Melakukan sharing printer dari computer client yang ada pada jaringan tersebut
Melakukan sharing data pada drive c,d,e pada semua computer yang ada pada dalam ruangan lab tersebut

v KESIMPULAN
1. Dengan hasil dan pengalaman yang telah saya peroleh dari pelaksanaan prakerin di yp bukit cahaya sidikalang telah banyak saya ketahui yang sebelumnya saya belum ketahui terutama di bidang jaringan dan perbaikan computer yang saya dapatkan
2. Dengan pengalaman tersebut saya menjadi tahu bagaimana kita melaksanakan suatu kerjaan disuatu perusahaan yang kita tempati.
v SARAN-SARAN
1. Kita harus memperkuat pembelajaran terutama di bidang jurusan computer karena masih banyak peralatan computer yang belum kita kenal maupun kita pelajari dan kita harus berusaha mengikuti les les computer yang ada
2. Meningkatkan pelaksanaan prakerin sesuai dengan jurusan kita masing masing
3. Meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap siswa pelaksana prakerin di setiap tempat tempat

INTRODUCTION
MULTIPLE EDUCATION SYSTEM 1.1 (PSG)
